- Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Solicitation Number: W81K00-08-T-0091 Bilayer Matrix Wound Dressing for Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), Fort Sam Houston, TX. The Bilayer Matrix Wound Dressing (BMWD) is manufactured b y Integra LifeSciences Corporation. FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, shall apply to this requirement. Products offered as Equal shall meet the following salient characteristics to be considered: 1) shall be for the management of full and partial thick ness wounds and trauma wounds; 2) shall allow for cellular growth and collagen synthesis, and controls fluid loss; 3) matrix shall be composed of collagen and glycosaminoglycan (GAG); 4) shall provide silicone outer layer that enables immediate wound closu re; 5) shall biodegrade while being replaced by autologous dermal tissue; 6) shall be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Integra products to be purchased are: 1) Catalog No. 4051, Wound Dressing 4 X 5 inches, Qty 60; 2) Catalog No. 4 101, 4 X 10 inches, Qty 60. Product will be ordered on an as-needed basis. The period of performance is from Date of Award to 30 September 2008. This solicitation is being conducted as a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. Solicitati on W81K00-08-T-0091 will be issued on or about 3 March 2008.
