- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), Charlottesville, VA intends to solicit a proposal and negotiate a sole source bridge contract w ith BBN Technologies Corporation for the NSP requirement while the follow-on competitive acquisition and transition is completed. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B) per FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The per iod of performance of this bridge contract is for a total of six months. The Government intends to release the RFP on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website: www.fbo.gov through the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Websit e: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ around March 2008. The NAICS code for this action is 541330. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The National Ground Intelligence Center requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the followin g website: http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contactin g Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responses received wi thin 10 days of this posting. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available.
