Will NGA require a certification for the two facilities separately. a. No. One certification for the Maritime Domain that includes the scope of both management system and two locations (Bethesda and St. Louis). See #5. 2. Do you know if there is already a lead from North Grumman on this opportunity NGA ISO 9001 3rd Party Certification) who has shown interest or submitted responses / questions? a. ** Not to my knowledge. 3. How many employees at each location (Bethesda and St. Louis) and the number of shifts at each. a. In the SOW we list ?about 240-260 for Bethesda and 10-18 for St. Louis. Single shift. 4. Site addresses, scope of operations at site, and relation of site in terms of quality system management. a. NGA 4600 Sangamore Road, Bethesda, MD 20816; NGA 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, Mo. 63118: Scope: See #5. Relation: Bethesda site deals with the quality management system, production and services, while the St. Louis site deals mostly with production and services. 5. What is the scope of registration for NGA? a. From our Quality Manual: ?The PVM Quality Management System (QMS) applies to the development, production, and distribution of Safety of Navigation and Geospatial-Intelligence Products and Services from offices in Bethesda, MD and St. Louis, MO. The scope of Maritime Services is the acquisition, assessment, and analysis of source data used for the production of hardcopy and digital maritime navigational products used by DoD customers.? 6. Is there any design and development responsibility in compliance to sub-clause 7.3 of the ISO 9001: 2000 under NGA? a. No. We elect exclusion from this clause. 7. Have any of these facilities (sites & locations)under NGA been registered to ISO previously? If so, please provide details to which ones, their last surveillance audits, dates of certification expiration; etc. a. Other NGA organizations have registered, but those efforts are not related to this effort. 8. How many facilities (sites & locations) will be required to be assessed to ISO 9001:2000 under NGA? a. Two facilities: Bethesda (one site) and St. Louis (one site). 9. Will pricing be determined on a firm fixed priced for the Base Year and Option Years that will include all estimated travel and or additional costs that maybe involved? a. This is for KO/COR to answer. In a general sense they should charge us for auditing fees there are pricing guidelines that all auditing companies use pretty much a daily rate per auditor. There are associated admin. expense such as filing, tracking and presenting of certificates banners. Then travel expense are billed to NGA. You could talk to the CORs handling PVA?s and SN?s auditor. 10. What exactly do the sites do? a. See #5 and: We manage expectations regarding our customers needs, take world wide source material, assess it for relevance, analyze it to determine whether it adds value to the product or service for the customer, build hard copy charts and digital data sets, disseminate for direct distribution or replication, and assess customer satisfaction. 11. Should the vendor response include any capability, past performance. a. YES; the vendor should provide capability and past performance when submitting there proposal.
