- Description
- The noise mitigation project, located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in Hamilton, Montana, includes the removal and replacement of existing rooftop exhaust and duct silencers to reduce noise generated by equipment. There is also test and balance work associated with restoring proper air flows after modifications. The work roughly consists of 75% mechanical, 15% electrical, and 10% general construction. This work will all be done while maintaining operation of the exhaust air system of the research facilities. The exhaust fans are arranged as redundant fan sets where one fan will be active while the other is being worked on. The general dollar magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This proposed acquisition is being conducted by the Indian Health Service on behalf of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and will be conducted as an unrestricted sealed bid pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
