- Description
- The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for a roof replacement project at the Lafayette IN Processing and Distribution Facility, 3450 State Road 26E, Lafayette IN 47901. This project will primarily involve the removal of existing roofing (Post Office Building approximately 80,968 square feet and Vehicle Maintenance Building approximately 6,535 square feet) and replacement with a new, 3-ply bituminous roof system. This project will also include the replacement of existing flashing, expansion joints and roof drains, and the installation of new insulation board. Existing rooftop equipment (HVAC units, exhaust fans, satellite dishes, etc.) shall be temporarily removed during roof replacement, and reinstalled. Minority owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $900,000 to $950,000 Construction completion time will be 90 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In addition to price, evaluation criteria will be considered. The contractor will be scored and ranked by the following factors. Past Performance (up to 60 points); contractor will be scored (40 points) on the information submitted that adequately demonstrates successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work and (20 points) references. Project Management Plan/Approach six factors will be totaled to the potential of (40 points); the project schedule (10 points), % of work to be performed by the prime firm (5 points),resumes of key personnel (5 points), quality control plan (5 points), project specific safety plan (10 points)and experience modification ratio (EMR) (5 points). Financial Capability will be (Pass/Fail). A pre-proposal conference will be held onsite Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at 3450 State Rd. 26 East, Lafayette IN 47907-9998 @ 10:00 a.m. local time. Management Plan due date Tuesday, March 11, 2008 by 3:00 p.m. CST, and Proposal due date is Thursday, March 27, 2008 by 3:00 p.m. CST. Solicitation documents will be available on or about Thursday, February 28, 2008 Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost that varies on size of solicitation.
