- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to issue Solicitation N66001-08-R-0049 for a requirement to design and produce four (4) Maritime Embedded Global Positioning System Adapters (MEGAs) for integration into the Navigation Systems Sensor Interface (NAVSSI) system. The adapters are electronic boards that will host a Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) compliant Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver Application Module (GRAM) receiver in a modified Standard Electronic Module type E (SEM-E form factor. The SPAWARSYSCEN intends to solicit and award a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract with a delivery date of 120 days after date of contract award. This procurement will be conducted as a 100% small business set-aside (Numbered 1 applies) competition. Selection will be based on a lowest price technically acceptable source selection process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations 15.1. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (July 2006) and DFARS 252.204-7004, ALTERNATE A (NOV 2003), lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about 11 MAR 2008. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available for download via the internet at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page, Systems Center ??? San Diego, Open Solicitations, https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government will not provide hard copy versions of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the internet at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil ; it will be the contractors responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register for automatic e-mail notification of changes/amendments on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page website.
