- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, maintenance support services for the electronic Security Alarms System at the Navy Support Activity (NSA) in Mechanicsburg, PA. These commercial services will be solicited in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS Code is 561621 and the Small Business Size Standard is $11.5M. Period of Performance is April 1, 2008 through September 30, 2008. The proposed sole source contractor, Shane-Gelling Company, is the original developer and supplier of this Alarm System and therefore the only firm that can currently provide the proprietary support. The proposed firm fixed price contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
