- Amendment 0003 has been issued to the solicitation to 1) change the required delivery period from 120 days After Receipt of Order (ARO) to 130 days ARO and 2) change the closing date of the solicitation to 28 February 2008. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged. (End of modification) *************************** THIS IS A PRESOLICATION NOTICE, NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA intends to issue a solicitation for NSN 4140-01-257-1863, a Circulating Fan, Rotron Inc. Custom Division Part Number 011356. The NSN is a Non-Commercial item. THE EXACT PRODUCT IS REQUIRED: Rotron P/N 011356. See DLAD 52.217-9002 (search engine can be used to locate this information) for Conditions for Evaluation and Acceptance of Offers for Part Numbered Items. If an alternate product is furnished under a contract or order for an exact product, the alternate product will be an unauthorized substitution, and may yield criminal penalties in addition to any civil remedies available to the Government. The only known source is Ametek-Rotron, the sole manufacturer of the circulating fan required. The fan is used in portable transcriber equipment to keep the components from overheating. The technical data drawing package required to compete the anticipated contract is proprietary and, therefore, not available to the government for distribution. The anticipated solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis (this pertains to Socio- Economic business, etc) with the resultant contract being a 5-year Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for a one (1) year base period plus four (4) one-year Option periods. The estimated quantity is 55 items for the base year and 55 items for each Option. The total estimated value of the five year contract is approximately $380K. Delivery will be made FOB Destination to New Cumberland, PA and/or Tracy, CA or both and is requested within 120 days after receipt of order. Radio Frequency Identification will be required for shipments. Numbered Note 22 and 26 apply. This procurement will be evaluated utilizing Low-Price Technically Acceptable procedures. The Trade Agreements Act of 1979 does not apply. Solicitation SPM08E0-07-R-0007 is expected to be issued on August 08, 2007 with an estimated closing date of September 10, 2007. The anticipated award date is November 13, 2007.
