- Description
- The US Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Weapon Systems and Technology Directorate, Advanced Energy Armament System Division, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, has a need for development of ultra compact, stackable, high power, solid state radio frequency (RF) transmitters/sources. RF transmitters/sources must be capable of delivering a minimum peak output power of 20kW in the UHF frequency range. Transmitters/sources shall be capable of providing a tunable pulsed RF output and matched to 50 Ohms. Although this solicitation is for development of one 20kW RF source, it needs to be designed for ease of stacking with more of the same units for combined output power levels in the hundreds of kilowatts. ARDEC-Picatinny intends to satisfy this requirement by awarding a Firm Fixed Price type Contract for a period of performance of seven (7) months, through full and open competition. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about 15 days from the date of this announcement.
