Description
The Department Of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Contracting Office intends to purchase, sole-source, from Perkinselmer, the Tri-Carb 2810TR Liquid Scintillation Analyzer. Any contractor wishing to offer their product shall furnish, no later than March 11, 2008. The product offered must be able to meet all the salient characteristics of the aforementioned item. Characteristics include: A liquid scintillation counter (LSC) capable of handling multiple samples on an automated (protocol driven) basis, including what is commonly referred to as low (but not necessarily very low) sample activities. The counter must be able of counting in both large (approx 10ml) and small (approx 5ml) vials, and the order must include a supply of racks in both sizes. The counter must have static control, quench correction, and luminescence detection and correction capabilities. The system must have the means to observe the energy spectrum during counting. It must also be capable of storing multiple vendor-supplied as well as customer-supplied counting protocols. This counter requires a printer and a display monitor (flat panel). Also, since all LSCs have internal radioactive sources that must be removed prior to disposition, the Contractor must agree to remove and dispose of these sources as part of the replacement process. A fax or e-mail response will be accepted. Fax number is 913-758-6495. The Contracting Office address is: VA Heartland Network 15, Network Business Office, Contracting Section (10N15-90), 4101 S. 4th Street Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS. 66048-5055. E-mail address is donald.denno@va.gov. Point of contact is Mr. Donald Denno, 913-758-6408.
