Description
The Veterans Administration facility in Columbus has a requirement for Physicians and Clinicians to provide approximately 5,000 comprehensive medical examinations a year for military veterans, to determine if they qualify for disability compensation or disability pensions. These examinations will be detailed and require expertise in a wide area of medical areas (including organ specific, dentistry, muscular-skeletal, mental health, and medical laboratory) and will require advanced specialists to be able to evaluate the full range of medical problems that the veterans possess, which impact their health, physical, and mental abilities. The contractor(s) selected must be physically located within the 37 county jurisdictional area of the Columbus VA Outpatient Clinic. The contractor may operate multiple sites and the VA may award multiple contracts. The contractor must meet extremely high standards of care, training, certification, credentialing, compliance, licensing, liability, medical competence, thoroughness, computer ability, safety, security, privacy, quality control and adherence to VA policies. They will be expected to meet standards in these areas as well as workload performance and short turn around time. They must be able to master VA computer systems and ensure a secure environment for these systems. The contractor selected cannot have restrictions from participation in other federally funded programs (such as Medicare). The Veteran's Administration is an equal opportunity employer.
