- Description
- The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for a roof replacement project at the Aurora IL, Fox Valley P&DC, 3900 Gabrielle Lane, Aurora IL 60599-9998. This project will primarily involve removal of the existing roof. Suppliers will be required to provide field verification during inspection and replacement of a new, Thermoplastic (TPO) membrane roof system. This project will also include the removal of existing flashing in its entirety and replacement of all flashing and expansion joints. Existing roof Top equipment (HVAC units, exhaust fans, satellite dishes, etc.) shall be temporarily removed during roof replacement, and reinstalled. Minority owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $2,900,000 to $3,100,000 Construction completion time will be 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In addition to price, evaluation criteria will be considered. The contractor will be scored and ranked by the following factors. Past Performance (up to 50 points); contractor will be scored on the information submitted that adequately demonstrates successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work. Project Management Plan/Approach five factors will be totaled to the potential of (50 points); the project schedule (10 points), proposed project team and company organization (10 points), WBE/MBE subcontracting plan (10 points), quality control plan/team (10 points), and experience modification ratio (EMR) (10 points). Financial Capability will be (Pass/Fail). A pre-proposal conference will be held onsite Friday, March 07, 2008 at 3900 Gabrielle Lane, Aurora, IL 60599-9998 @ 11:00 a.m. CST. Management Plan due date Monday, March 10, 2008 by 3:00 p.m. CST, and Proposal due date is Thursday, March 20, 2008 by 3:00 p.m. CST. Solicitation documents will be available on or about Friday, February 22, 2008 Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost that varies on size of solicitation.
