- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 06SQ810311 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23, dated January 25, 2008. All Quotes must be manually signed by authorized company official. Email questions are acceptable to kgomez@do.usbr.gov. STATEMENT OF WORK 1. GENERAL: Reclamation requires maintenance of its existing network intrusion detection system (IDS), Juniper IDP. This tool is used by Reclamation to evaluate any risks and vulnerabilities associated with the traffic crossing Reclamation's networks. The tool is currently in use and is considered Reclamation's primary network security system making it the only one currently utilized by key security personnel during their monitoring duties. 2. BACKGROUND: Reclamation requires the maintenance to continue supporting Reclamation's mission. The tool is the primary network security monitoring tool - there is not another tool in production that serves a similar purpose. This tool is critical to assuring Reclamation's security posture. 3. WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR: Provide Reclamation with the appropriate maintenance support in regards to the Juniper IDP devices. This maintenance will include email, website and telephone support. The support will be 24x7 with a 4 hour response time and will include other levels of support such as software patches and signature files as they are released by the vendor.
