(Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS intends to procure sole source requirement with Dawning Technology, Inc., 6140 Mid Metro Unit 5, Fort Myers, FL 33966-1274, to purchase the Dawning Technology's software and equipment with service agreement. This system will be used to provide software core upgrade to existing system and replacement of the Dawning Technology antiquated equipment utilized by the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The proposed contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and must submit information about their capabilities no later than 2:00 PM Central March 3, 2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone inquires will not be honored.
