- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation/synopsis reference number 1300098993 is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). Provisions and Clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular 2005-23 effective 24 Jan 2008 and DFARS Change Notice 20080124 (1) FAR 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items) (NOV 2007): (a) Re para (a): NAICS 334119. (b) Note that para (k) requires quoter to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at time order is issued and throughout performance. (2) FAR 52.212-2 (Evaluation - Commercial Items) (JAN 1999) with the following insertion in para (a) lowest priced technically acceptable quote. The items requested herein are items that must interface with existing equipment. (3) QUOTATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NOT LATER THAN 2:00 PM PACIFIC TIME 03March 2008 IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. Quotations may be emailed to melvin.jones5@navy.mil or sent via fax to (407)380-4742. PLEASE ENSURE ENOUGH TIME IS ALLOWED IN ORDER FOR YOUR QUOTE TO ARRIVE ON TIME. LATE SUBMITTALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. (4) Quotations must include completed copy of provision at FAR 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items) (NOV 2007) with Alt 1 (APR 2002) or indication that reps and certs are in ORCA. Description: CLIN 0001 Qty: (4) FWSX424 FastIron Workgroup X424 with L2 SW. Includes 24 10/100/1000 ports (RJ-45) with 4-port SFP for fiber optics (SX, LX, LHA, and CWDM), and one AC power supply. CLIN 0002 Qty: (4) GOLD-FWSX424 TECHNET GOLD FOR THE FWSX424 CLIN 0003 Qty: (2) SX-FI424C 24-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet module for FastIron SuperX family CLIN 0004 Qty: (4) E1MG-LX 1000BaseLX SFP optic SMF, LC connector NOTE TO VENDOR: The contractor must bid on ALL items and must be quoted FOB Destination. All items must be shipped at the same time. If unable to ship all line items at the same time, please indicate on your quote. The Government will issue an order to the responsible quoter submitting the lowest priced technically acceptable quotation.
