Description
The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Specialized Contracting Branch, Scott AFB, IL is soliciting information for Base Operations Support (BOS), Base Civil Engineering Functions, at MacDill AFB, Florida. This is a Request for Information (RFI) Pursuant to FAR 15.209(c). Reference the following provision, FAR 52.215-3, REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR PLANNING PURPOSES (OCT 1997). (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" may be used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This RFI is issued for the purpose of: (1) conducting market research and to gain industry input for informational and planning purposes; (2) obtaining Statements of Interest as well as Capability Statements from businesses that are capable of providing the various services identified below that are required for the future solicitation; (3) Small businesses are encouraged to respond. (End of provision) Attachment 1 to this RFI will provide the General Performance Requirements. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision-making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Please note: The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this request for information. INFORMATION REQUESTED: a. Company Information: (1) Company name, address, telephone, Fax, designated representative (s) name(s), POC, to include phone numbers and e-mail address. (2) Company's capabilities in terms of providing limited or complete scope of Base Operations Support (BOS), Base Civil Engineering Functions at MacDill AFB, FL. Including, but not limit to; (a) Perform Daily Maintenance activities such as maintaining electrical, gas, water, sewer, HVAC distribution systems within and between a facility; (b) Provide for material parts; (c) provide for grounds maintenance, refuse, and custodial; (d) Provide for minor and major facility repair (similar to a SABER type effort). (3) Company's experience in providing Base Operations Support (BOS), Base Civil Engineering Functions. Compare such experience to the size, scope and complexity of the MacDill AFB, FL location. Briefly identify the largest projects managed either as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor or in a teaming relationship, to include commercial business practices. (4) Please identify business size and whether currently designated as a Small Business as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 19.1 and appropriate category, i.e. Small business (SB), Small disadvantaged business (SDB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZone), 8(a) program, service disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned and woman-owned small business concerns. Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and may be found at www.sba.gov/size/sizetable2002.html. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210 ? Base facilities operation support services is applicable to this requirement. b. Identify Major Risks: Provide general information to identify any major risks anticipated. Outline risks, potential mitigators, and timelines for transition. c. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force. SUBMISSION INFORMATION: One paper copy, and an electronic copy, of each response shall be submitted no later than 30 Oct 07. Hard copies shall be mailed to HQ AMC/A7KQC, 507 Symington Drive, Scott AFB, IL 62225-5015, Attn: Karen Kinzel.
