Description
The Dayton Area Defense Contractor's Association (DADCA) and 554th Electronic Systems Group (ELSG) are pleased to announce a two-day Dayton IT Wing Conference to be held on 8 - 9 April 2008, at the Hope Hotel and Conference Center, Bldg 823, Area A, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio 45433-5000 (937.879.2696). The Dayton IT Wing Conference will provide an opportunity for 554th Electronic Systems Group (ELSG) and the 754th Electronic Systems Group (ELSG) to exchange information with industry on specific and emerging requirements in their portfolio and discuss how they plan to accomplish their IT acquisitions. We are excited about our theme, "Where Information Technology Takes Flight", and this conference will address the IT technologies and business solutions pertinent to the challenges of the military mission in air, space and cyberspace power. The Electronic Systems Center (ESC) is the Air Force Materiel Command acquisition center of excellence specializing in acquisition of Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) and Information Systems to support the warfighter. Under the direction and guidance of ESC, the 554 ELSG, based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, acquires, delivers, sustains, and integrates agile combat support IT solutions for the Air Force and DoD. The 554 ELSG administers contracts valued at $1.5 billion across four locations -- Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; Randolph AFB, Texas; Gunter Annex, Alabama; and Hill AFB, Utah. Also under the direction and guidance of ESC, the 754 ELSG, based at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Ala., provides responsive information systems to support more efficient and effective logistics, contracting and comm-computer capabilities Air Force wide. The 754 ELSG administers contracts valued at $1.5 billion across four locations - Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Alabama, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; Hill AFB, Utah; and Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. On 8 April 2008, Dayton IT Wing will provide a forum for the 554 ELSG host an event for the 554 ELSG and the 754 ELSG to exchange information with industry on current and future business plans with a focus on specific and emerging new business opportunities. As a byproduct of this exchange, industry also receives information on changes/updates to DoD acquisition strategies and is afforded the opportunity to exchange ideas and get answers to questions to assist in the 554 ELSG and 754 ELSG business planning. The event will be kicked off with strategic plans presented by senior leadership. Each day will have Guest Speakers during lunch names are being finalized now. On 9 April 2007, the morning session will continue the information exchange portion of the conference. After lunch, DADCA, the 554 ELSG, and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will present the New Business Connection event with government and industry. This is a fun event that has been named "Speed Dating For Business". At this event, industry will have the opportunity to sit at the table with multiple government representatives to present literature and do a brief presentation about your company's capabilities. Industry will then move to another table and with a different government person and repeat the process for a total of three rounds. Industry participants should be prepared to do a 3 minute presentation on your company and bring leave behinds for government and other potential industry partners. The registration fee for the conference is $250 for members before March 21st and $300 after March 21st and for non-DADCA members. All lodging and transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the attendees. Registration will begin in January 2008. Telephone registrations will not be accepted. The cut-off date for registration is March 25, 2008. Cancellations must be made by March 25, 2008 to receive refund payment. Please note that each registration fee covers one attendee only. Attendance is limited to 400 persons. Reservations will be taken on first-come, first serve basis. A large response is anticipated, so please register early. Please confirm your attendance for the Day 2 networking event.
