- The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quote for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide the materials, equipment and labor necessary to deliver, install and grade approximately 400 tons of 12"-24" FL Limestone Rip-Rap, 200 tons of Bedding Rip Rap (less than 12"), 2500 tons of beach-grade sand, and 3,000 square feet of salt water-tolerant filter fabric. Delivery location is DeSoto National Memorial, 8300 DeSoto Memorial Highway, Bradenton, FL, 34209. The government estimates approximately 32 hours of heavy equipment operation to complete. Due to the location and the sensitivity of the park grounds, vehicles used in this operation will be limited in weight, not to exceed 24,000 lbs GVW (empty). Delivery will be made Monday through Friday, 8:00am -4:30pm. This RFQ will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as outlined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The anticipated range of this project is expected to be between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a total small business set-aside. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on or about Feb 28, 2008 with quotes due close of business on or about Mar 13, 2008, with the anticipated start date of April 01, 2008. The applicable NAICS code is 238910, the size standard $13 million in annual proceeds for the average three preceding years. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
