- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled NNK08GROUNDS, Grounds Upkeep Maintenance and Pesticides, which was posted on 10 Oct 07. You are notified that the following changes are made: Request for Information: Draft SOW. The purpose of this modification to the prior Notice is to upload the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) to solicit industry input to achieve NASA?s Five year Grounds Upkeep, Maintenance and Pesticides acquisition in a timely and efficient manner. The acquisition requires a contractor/contractor team capable of performing a comprehensive set of mowing, trimming, herbicide and pest control services in support of the grounds at Kennedy Space Center, FL. NASA is requesting industry input and feedback to assist NASA in refining the SOW for the grounds contract. Recommendations for improved processes, innovative approaches, or comments for streamlining or corrections are solicited. The SOW will be uploaded. Industry is invited to submit comments on ALL aspects of the DRAFT SOW. Moreover, in accordance with NASA Federal Acquisition Regulation 1815.201( c)(6)(a), industry is requested to identify any unnecessary and/or inefficient requirements. In accordance with FAR 15.201, NASA is implementing early exchanges of information with the industry in order to receive suggestions which will assist to improve the understanding of Government requirements, resolve concerns regarding the complete issues of the contracting of the requirement to best serve NASA?s mission. ***This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. *** In accordance with FAR 15.201(e) responses to this notice are not offers and can not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. NASA/KSC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) to seek industry comments for the Grounds solicitation. NOTE: the DRFP is NOT a solicitation and NASA/KSC is NOT requesting proposals. Industry comments shall be due 20 Feb 08. and forwarded to the point of contact below. Should you have any questions regarding the RFI, please forward electronically to the address indicated below. Telephone questions and comments will NOT be accepted. The requested comments are for information purposes only. There will not be a formal posting of any comments received, but they will be considered by the Government and may be incorporated in the draft final document. Respondents are advised that NASA is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
