Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, WRD, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility, Stennis Space Center, MS has a requirement to obtain rapid sampling current profiling devices. The Government intends to make award on a sole source basis to Teledyne RD Instruments for this requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). This is a one-time buy with no options. Items are to be delivered by April 11, 2008. Teledyne RD Instruments is uniquely qualified to provide the products required. Teledyne RD Instruments is the manufacturer of the equipment and they possess the technical knowledge and patents covering the intricate designs of the instruments and any accessory items associated with the instruments. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about February 26, 2008 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold for Commercial Items. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334513. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
