- Description
- USACE, Engineering Research and Development Center Contracting Office proposes to issue a sole source award to Demaree Inflatable Boats, Inc., 10 Oak Street, Friendsville, MD, 21531. The purpose of the award is for the vendor to provide 28 neoprene/n ylon inflatable tubes to be used in continued development of the Lightweight Modular Causeway System (LMCS). These particular tubes have been used in development of the LMCS prototype; therefore, uniformity of appearance and quality is necessary to suppor t full-scale prototype modules of the LCMS. Alterations in tube design resulting from differing fabricator capabilities would compromise the Governments prototype. A sole source award to Demaree would also allow the Government to meet a compressed time schedule for ongoing development of the prototype. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the supplies is encouraged to respond to this announcement wit hin 5 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no solicitation available at this time.
