- Description
- This request for proposal (RFP) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned set-aside competitive contract for construction. The project provides for the construction of the FY 08 Urban Assault Course (UAC) at Camp Bullis, San Antonio,, Texas. The project is a standard five station Urban Assault Course including a 20 X 40 operations storage building (Contract Option). There is no latrine or ammo breakdown building included in the project. The project does include demolition of an off site residential st ructure as an Option. There are no utilities other than power at the site. Typical details concerning the scope of an Urban Assault Course are available in CEHNC 1110-1-23. See http://www.hnd.usace.army.mil/rtlp/ Contractor movements on the site will be limited by the potential for encountering unexploded ordnance (UXO). The Government will perform a UXO clearance of the construction site prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed on construction. Contractor site access will be limited to the area c leared of UXO. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The RFP solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 17 March 2008, and offers will be due on or about 16 April 2008. No public bid opening procedures are a pplicable to this solicitation. A firm fixed price SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE contract is anticipated to be awarded using Best Value evaluation criteria. Anticipated award date is 16 June 2008. Anticipated project comple tion date is 329 days from award. The successful offeror is required to perform at least 15 percent of the final cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. The 2002 North American Industrial Classification System ( NAICS) code applicable to this project is 238990. SIC is 1542. The Product Service Code is Y199. The Small Business Size Standard is $31 Million.
