- Description
- Solicitation 8008-06 provides for On-Call fully contractor operated and maintained water scooper aircraft services in support of fire suppression operations in Alaska and the lower 48 states in support of the Department of the Interior and other Federal wildland fire suppression programs. Multiple awards may be made. The contract period will be from date of award through February 28, 2009 with a government unilateral option for two additional years. The contract requires a multi-engine water scooping tanker airplane with a minimum tank capacity of 1400 US gallons water and a payload of at least 1000 gallons of water. The Contractor shall possess an approval from the U.S. Dept of Agriculture/Dept. of Interior Interagency Airtanker Board for each aircraft offered. The issue date of the solicitation is February 8, 2008. The solicitation will be available at this site and http://amd.nbc.gov.
