- The US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Roberts Research Laboratory of Torrance, CA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, sub-paragraph (ii) Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for continued development or production (etc.), a quantity of 200 each, Model A15-E 0 Second Electronic Cutters. Roberts Research Laboratory is the only contractor whose cutters passed initial Government testing. These cutters are required to complete on-going airdrop testing for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO).
