- This action is set-aside for Small Business (SB) NAICS 561720. An eligible SB concern is a small business concern expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's Small Business Program and in good standing with the Small Business Administration at the time of award. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Southern Region is soliciting competitive offers for Janitorial Services to be performed at the (approximately) 8,200 square foot Daytona Beach Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), UPS, Base Building, located at 2302 Bellevue Avenue, and National Weather Service Office located at 2304 Bellevue Avenue, and Airway Facilities System Support Center, located at 1580 Aviation Center Parkway, Daytona Beach, Florida. A site visit is schedule for February 19, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Contract Mrs. Patricia Holyfield (386) 226-3954 for more information. This award will be for a Base Contract period of April 1, 2008, through March 30, 2009, with four (4)-1 year option periods. Award will be made based on overall best value to the FAA, price and other factors considered. Issuance of the Solicitation is February 8, 2008, and offers will be due by the close of business on March 5, 2008. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
