- THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO RELEASE THE ATTACHED SOLICITATION WITH A RESPONSE DUE DATE OF MARCH 7, 2008:*************************************************************The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Stockpile (NVS) in Riverdale, MD. intends to procure the services of a third-party logistics provider for a one-year contract with four option years and award term option years for an additional three years for a maximum contract length of eight years. The services will include unloading, receipt, storage, inventory management and shipment of products and equipment to support our emergency management programs. Optimal warehouse locations will be on the eastern and western portions of the United States to supplement existing warehouse in midwest part of the nation. The USDA intends to award a combination contract with firm fixed-price line items as well as time and materials line items. This will be a best value procurement. It is anticipated that the formal solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) AG-6395-S-08-0021, will be released on or about January 18, 2008 and posted on this FEDBIZOPPS website.
