- Description
- This requirement is to remove chrysotile containing floor tile, mastic containing asbestos, and asbestos contaminated carpet/carpet squares and associated padding in DSCR Building 33, Bay C, located at the Defense Supply Center Richmond, 8000 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Richmond, VA 23297. Two areas within Bay C totaling 4,200 square feet require asbestos abatement in accordance with Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Response Act (AHERA) standards, 40 CFR Part 763, Subpart E and Asbestos School Hazard Reauthorizatrion Act (ASHARA) protocols and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (HESHAPS) standards. This work will be staged with all work in the western most portion of the bay done first and the work in the eastern most portion of the bay being done at a later date (approximately 60 to 90 days apart). Partial payment upon completion of the first phase (approximately 50%) is authorized. Final payment will be made upon completion and acceptance of all work to be performed under this contract. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, necessary personal protection equipment (PPE), disposal services, asbestos project monitor services, and necessary laboratory analysis for the job.
