- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Interested parties may use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government anticipates a modification to contract N00164-06-C-6951 with Exide Technologies to provide storage and boosting to one SEAWOLF class submarine battery set and one OHIO class submarine battery set, and to provide storage, boosting, and a capacity test discharge/recharge of float to the Floating Shock Platform Test cells. The cells are at the Exide storage and manufacturing facilities in Fort Smith Arkansas. Exide is the only company capable of providing this service as the cells are located inside the Exide facilities, and Exide is the OEM of the cells. This modification is being issued using the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may contact Sean Seamon at sean.seamon@navy.mil.
