Description
The Naval Air Warfare Weapons Division China Lake CA intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis Self-Potential Geophysical Services. The Navy Geothermal Program Office (GPO) is conducting reconnaissance geothermal exploration studies at Chocolate Mountains Aerial Gunnery Range and at Marine Corps Air-Ground Center (MCAGCC), Twenty-nine Palms, CA. The objective of this work is to determine whether sufficient geological evidence exists to substantiate the presence of geothermal resources that can be developed for the benefit of the military. The contractor will need to review existing geophysical data to determine the adequacy of coverage for attaining the stated objective. Design self potential surveys that will complement existing data. Assist in acquisition of new SP data on the survey grids approved by GPO. Process SP data and prepare contour maps and cross-sections of the processed data. Interpret the newly-acquired data, and prepare a report that includes a description of methods employed, assumptions, data that were acquired, interpretation of data, summary and conclusions. Additional data will be provided with the Request for Quotation (RFQ), including the statement of work. The RFQ will be available electronically @ http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://ww.fedbizopps.gov on or about 14 Feb 08. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for an award. Question should be address to Andrew Wall and must reference N68936-08-Q-0094. You may email question to andrew.m.wall@navy.mil or US mail at Commander Code 220000D, Attn Andrew Wall, 429 E. Bowen Rd, Mail Stop 4015, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake CA 93555-6108. The RFQ will close on or about 26 Feb 08. Award will be made on or about 3 Mar 08.
