- THIS IS A COMBINED PRE-SOLICITATION AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ANNOUNCEMENT. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is in the process of developing and intends to issue a solicitation for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of its Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Plant located in Fort Worth Texas. As part of the process, the BEP is inviting industry to provide input concerning the attached Industry Questions as well as to provide comment on the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). The purpose of the input and comment are for the Government to obtain better insight into commercial and industry best practices regarding this type of service, input on how to reduce or limit risks, costs or unnecessary requirement constraints as well as to highlight potential technical or contractual problem areas up front and prior to development of formal solicitations for these two requirements. In the end, the Government is interested in and receptive to ideas, input and comments that industry may have, thus welcomes industry to participate in this process. Responses to this request for information are not mandatory and won?t be used as an indication of interest and will have no bearing on the future solicitation and evaluation of proposals submitted in response to the formal solicitation for this service, however, comments and input, whether positive or negative are earnestly requested. Responses will become the property of the Government and sufficiently safeguarded.
