- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health and Sciences (USUHS), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Caliper Life Sciences, Hopkinton, MA for a three year service and maintenance agreement on one Xenogen Imaging System IVIS 100 located in Building B, on the USUHS campus. This item is being procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Pt. 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The manufacturer is the only company able to provide the parts or services needed due to restrictions imposed by the manufacturer and the unique knowledge and capability of the manufacturer. This is not a request for quote; however, all interested parties may contact the Contracting Officer. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide convincing evidence that they can obtain/provide the same service and maintenance services as state above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office by February 7, 2008.
