- Description
- Accomplish the FY-08/09 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) of the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) 30, 56, 59, 62, and 79. For FY08: LCAC 30 and 56. For FY09: 59, 62, and 79. The LCACs accomplished in FY09 will be options. This is an unrestricted procurement. Contact the contract specialist for inspection dates/location, contract dates, and place of performance. The LCAC SLEP scope of effort includes repair and upgrade of the buoyancy box (structural hull), gas turbine engine replacement, installation of a new skirt (inflatable hull), installation of an integrated Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Navigation (C4N) equipment package, and accomplishment of selected craft alterations and repair work. The gas turbine engines will be furnished by the Government. The SLEP effort is to be performed in accordance with Government prepared specifications, drawings, work item descriptions, and craft alteration records. Offerors are not restricted to Master Sh ip Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holders. See Note 9.
