Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is being issued under Solicitation No. N5430080003. This procurement is being done pursuant to NAICS code 561730 with a small business size standard of $5 million; and in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program at FAR 19.1001and 19.1008. Bids are requested for the base period and four option years for both locations. The wage determination number as posted by the Department of Labor, Secretary of State for this procurement is WD 05-2473 (Rev.-5); and can be obtained at the website: www.wdol.gov. The Scope of Work includes - Grass Cutting at FOSU - Fort Sumter National Monument, 1214 Middle Street, Sullivans Island, SC 29482 (Fort Moultrie); and CHPI - Charles Pickney Historic Site, 1254 Longpoint Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, supervision and equipment to accomplish turf mowing, line trimming, edging, and tree pruning for the National Park Service (NPS) locations described in the bid schedules. The contractor must be registered with the CCR and ORCA in order to do business with the NPS; register at www.bpn.gov. The proposals are due to Laurie Chestnut, NPS, SERO, C&PM, 100 Alabama Street SW, 5th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30303. The proposal due date is March 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. (est).
