- Description
- This is a synopsis for the acquisition of Cadet Gym Renovations Phase 2 to support the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for modernization of a gymnasium on USAFA. The following is a brief description of the work requirements for this contract: Hazardous material abatement, Selective demolition, New and repaired concrete and masonry walls, New structural floors, New casework, New and refurbished doors, frames, hardware and interior glazing, New finishes, New lockers, toilet and shower partitions, signage and other specialties, New climbing wall, New hot tubs and saunas, Swimming pool repair, New fire suppression system and fire detection / alarm system, New plumbing and plumbing fixtures, New HVAC, New electrical and lighting.. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm fixed price contract with a base Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and three Option CLINs. The magnitude is anticipated in excess of $10,000,000.00. The solicitation information will be posted on FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Request for Proposal FA7000-08-R-0011 estimated issue date is on or about 15 February 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder?s mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Interested parties may register for automated notification of postings. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. This acquisition will be solicited as unrestricted. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a size standard of $31 million. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value to include past performance.
