Description
Conference Introducing the National Survey of Veterans, Active Duty Service Members, Activated National Guard and Reserve Members, Family Members and Survivors Design Study Purpose: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Policy and Planning will sponsor a survey of veterans, active duty service members, activated National Guard and Reserve members, and family members and survivors to collect valuable information about these populations and satisfy the requirements detailed in P.L. 108-454, section 805. It will collect information on awareness, demographics, health care, disability, life insurance, burial benefits, employment, education and training, and vocational rehabilitation. This project will provide information to support VA policy, planning, and quality improvement decisions. Description: The design study will determine the nature, scope, content, and sampling design for the National Survey of Veterans, Active Duty Service Members, Activated National Guard and Reserve Members, Family Members and Survivors and any supplemental data collection instruments planned for execution and completion by December 2009. Conference Specifics: When: Friday, February 8, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Where: VA Central Office, Conference Room C-7 810 Vermont Ave NW Washington, DC 20420 Invitees: All potential offerors RSVP: All potential offerors must RSVP no later than the close of business on Tuesday, February 5. The potential offerors must provide first and last names and complete company name on their RSVP. Also, the offerors must have two forms of ID to gain entry into the building. Persons not on the RSVP list will not be granted access (no substitutions). (Email RSVP information to Richard.Murphy4@va.gov) and Beverly.Roberts@va.gov) Submission of Questions prior to the Conference: Attendees may submit questions in advance to Beverly Roberts, the Contracting Specialist for the project no later than close of business on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 via email at Beverly.Roberts@va.gov. These questions will be available and presented to all attendees of the conference.
