- Description
- This project will construct 21 new staff quarters for Indian Health Service (IHS) at Fort Belknap Agency, and Hays, Montana. Staff quarters will include a combination of two and three bedroom single family homes, and one multi-plex with six one-bedroom quarters. Construction of four additional four-bedroom homes will be included as option items, which may be awarded up to 60 days after contract award. All quarters have full basements and are conventional wood frame construction with asphalt composition roofing. Construction includes site preparation, including earthwork,water/electrical/sewer/telephone utilities, streets, street lighting and signage, sidewalks, curb & gutters, walk ways, landscaping, etc. The completion date for the multi-plex with six one-bedroom units is 12 months from notice to proceed, and the completion date for all other units is 18 months from notice to proceed. The Government will provide complete design plans and specifications. The solicitation and specifications will be available electronically through this web site approximately March 3, 2008. Requests for drawings should be submitted by email to Linda.Shaw@ihs.gov. A pre-bid proposal conference is tentatively planned for March 18, 2008 at Fort Belknap Agency, Montana. The solicitation will announce the firm date for the conference. This work will be under the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) and the awarded contractor will be responsible for determining what the TERO requirements are and for abiding by those requirements. The contract performance is 540 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236115.
