Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Special Education Diagnostician services to the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), located at Seagoville, Texas. The Special Education Diagnostician shall be certified as a Special Educational Diagnostician and possess a Master of Arts Degree in the specialist area of Special Education, or be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, or be a licensed School Psychologist. A minimum of one year experience in the related field, through either classroom experience, or education courses skill in diagnosis and correction of learning difficulties and curriculum development. The contractor will be required to provide individual assessment and initial placement of adult inmate students into the literacy program. It is estimated the requirement will include eight one hour sessions once a week. A session is defined as one (1) hour in duration and the estimated total sessions per year is 384. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract with firm fixed unit price. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base period and four 12 month option period for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about February 01, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site does provide downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.ccr.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is 2:00 p.m. CT February 22, 2008 however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith -Based and Community -Based Organization can submit quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
