Description
NAICS Code: 333924 EPA's Radiation and Indoor Air National Laboratory is seeking qualified vendors to convert three large diesel vehicles to fully comply with 2007 Heavy-Duty Highway Rule utilizing the new "Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel" USLD fuel (the new S15 fuel). Vendors will use Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Closed Crankcase Ventilation system (CCV) for Ford Trucks, EPA 1483 and for EPA 968, and use Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and Closed Crankcase Ventilation system (DOC & CCV) for Step Van, EPA 1610 or other emissions reduction technology as applicable and in compliance with EPA Verified Retrofit Product List (http://www.epa.gov/otaq/retrofit/retroverifiedlist.htm) Contractor to conduct all required preliminary testing and exhaust temperature using applicable system application guidelines dependant on the year and model of the diesel motor. Vendors shall submit costs for retrofits and approximate down time for requested work. Vendors will supply all materials. Vendors will be required to place permanent labels on tanks and on the vehicle instrument pod. Vendors may only work on these vehicles in the Las Vegas, Nevada area or at the enclosed EPA garage housing these vehicles. Vendors will be required to test the engine and verify performance in writing at the end of the retrofit. EPA verifies that all of the diesel engines to be retrofit are well maintained and in good shape with low operation hours. If a vendor cannot retrofit one of the vehicles, the vendor will state this in their proposal. Vehicles may be inspected at the EPA Facility at 4220 S. Maryland Parkway, Building C, Las Vegas, Nevada by appointment.
