- Description
- Furnish architectural/engineering professional services required to provide facility investigations, working drawings, cost estimate and construction period services for contruction project 575-08-109 Correct Mental Health Ward Deficiencies. The mental health ward located on the 3d floor east wing is in need of restructuring. This will include redesign of rooms to include private bathrooms, private rooms, and anti-ligature finishes throughout the ward. The Architect/Engineer (A/E) will be expected provide a design for remodeling the mental health ward to meet VA criteria and patient safety standards. All design and work will conform to VA Master Specifications and VA Design Standards as published at the following web site: www.va.gov\facmgt\standards and ASCE, IBC 2003, NFPA and NEC building codes and standards. Additional standards are as outlined in the Guidelines for the Built Environment of Behavioral Health Facilities and the VA Mental Health Environment of Care Checklist for Locked Units. This procurement is contingent upon the availability of funding. It is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms in accordance with Public Law 109-461. NAICS 541330. The small business size standard is $4.5 million. Firms desiring consideration should submit their SF 330 no later than 4:00 pm November 26, 2007. Electronic submission will not be accepted.
