- This procurement is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, Intends to issue a solicitation on or about 31 January 2008, for the repairs of the US ARMY Patrol boat, Picket, Diesel, Steel, D esign 4003. Repairs will be made at the contractors dry dock facility. The Government will be responsible for the delivery of the vessel from West Point , NY to the Contractors facility, and upon completion of the repairs, the Government will return the vessel to West Point, NY. The repairs shall follow along the guidelines as listed: 0001, Dry docking and refloating, 0002, Ultrasonic testing, 0003, Sea chest and strainer plate, 0004, Raw water intake assembly overhaul, 0005, Sanitation sea suction val ve replacement, 0006, Recondition propellers, 0007, Propeller Shafts, 0008, Propeller shaft bearings, 0009, Rudder repairs, 00010, Packing glands, 0011, Annode Protection, 0012, Hull plate replacement, 0013, Structural repairs, 0014, Welding repairs, 0015, Docking plug replacement, 0016, Cleaning and painting of underwater hull surfaces, 0017, Cleaning and painting of above waterline hull surfaces, 0018, Cleaning and painting of interior compartments, 0019, cleaning and painting of top deck, 0020, Fathomete r transducer installation, 0021, Steering system inspection and repair. The Solicitation will contain the specifications and site visit information.
