- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to solicit a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and award a firm-fixed price service contract to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and ser vices necessary to perform Custodian Services at the Melvern Lake - Outlet Park, Melvern, Kansas. The contract will include 1 base year (period of performance 01 Apr 08 through 31 Oct 08) and a 1 year option (period of performance 01 Apr 09 through 31 Oct 09). This will be a best value acquisition. An award will be made based on the best value to the government, and not based on price alone, in accordance with FAR Part 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items . The evaluation factors of Experience, Past Performance, and Price will weigh equally in determining the best value to the Government. The solicitation will be a 100% total small business set-aside. NAICS code is 561720; the standard industrial code is 7349 and the size s tandard is $6,500,000. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The solicitation package will be issued in electronic format on the website, www.fbo.gov on or about 1 February 2008 with quotes due on or about February 18 , 2008. Bids will be accep ted from all interested responsible and responsive parties. Please reference DOD DFARS Clause 252.204-7302, -Required Central Contractor Registration.- Prospective contractors must be registered on the CCR prior to contract award.
