- Western Area Power Administration (Western) is seeking expressions of interest from potential vendors. This Sources Sought notice is a request for market information only and responses are not considered quotes or offers. Western intends to solicit quotes and award one contract for a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Reliability Standards Compliance Tracking Software Application for Western???s four regional offices. The application must be an existing COTS, fully configured, populated, pre-loaded and functional NERC compliance tracking application. This requirement is not for the development of a new software application. The requirement includes but is not limited to implementation, integration, testing, training, licenses, documentation, and software maintenance, support and updates. The application will assist Western in tracking and managing its compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and associated Regional Reliability Standards. Term of contract is anticipated to be one base year and four option years (option years to provide annual software maintenance, support and updates). It is anticipated the solicitation (Request for Quotes/RFQ) will be issued electronically in December 2007 or January 2008 under full and open competition.
