- Description
- The 96th Contracting Squadron (96 CONS/MSCB), Eglin AFB, FL intends to offer Timber Sales on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Work will consist of harvesting all trees designated for removal as specified herein. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary for timber removal services at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This sale consists of harvesting all Sand, Slash and Loblolly pine trees, as well as utilizing pine tops and hardwoods for fuelwood. There are 2 harvest units under 1 CLIN, consisting of approximately 2525 acres and containing approximately 33,000 tons of pine timber and approximately 47,000 tons of fuelwood. Contractor is required to comply with Florida Best Management Practices (BMP?s) for silviculture to protect and maintain the State?s water quality, during all activities. This is a notification to all interested parties. The solicitation number for this announcement will be FA2823-08-R-0005. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code for this sale is 113310. Please identify whether you are a small or large business based on the size standard of 500 employees.
