- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for following commercial items: Quantity: 8 (EIGHT) - G-3 LASER DIODE ARRAY 300W - Specifications are as follows: QCW, Conduction Cooled Laser Diode Arrays. 300 W Peak Power, (3) 100 Watt QCW Diode Bars. G Package Vacuum compatible Center wavelength: 808 nm +/- 3 nm @ case temperature of 20C Spectral Bandwidth: <= 3 nm Array threshold current: <= 25 amp Array drive current: <= 115 amp Efficiency: >=50% Pitch: = 400 microns 2% duty cycle operating at 200 microsecond pulsewidth @ 100 Hz. Lifetime: > 1 billion shots (<20% laser diode output power drop with a constant drive current) Quantity: 8 (EIGHT) - G-6 LASER DIODE ARRAY 600W - Specifications are as follows: QCW, Conduction Cooled Laser Diode Arrays. 600 W Peak Power, (6) 100 Watt QCW Diode Bars. G Package Vacuum compatible Center wavelength: 808 nm +/- 3 nm @ case temperature of 20C Spectral Bandwidth: <= 3 nm Array threshold current: <= 25 amp Array drive current: <= 115 amp Efficiency: >=50% Pitch: = 400 microns 2% duty cycle operating at 200 microsecond pulsewidth @ 100 Hz. Lifetime: > 1 billion shots (<20% laser diode output power drop with a constant drive current) This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the attention of NADJA HARDY via e-mail at nadja.hardy@nasa.gov or via facsimile at (301) 286-9159 by COB on 02/04/2008. Interested organizations may submit their quotes to perform this effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00PM ET on 02/08/2008. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
