January 24, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command is issuing this Sources Sought Market Survey for a potential requirement for one (1) transmission test stand to support the M1 and one (1) transmission test to support the M1, M113, M109, MLRS, M60 and/or M88A1/A2 transmissions or any combinations of the vehicles. Contractor responses to this market survey are for information and planning purposes only. This market survey does not constitut e a request for proposal nor is it to be construed as a commitment by TACOM to purchase or pursue the materials and services offered. Responses are voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Nothing contained herein should be regarded as basis upon which to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government. TACOM is conducting market research for a pote ntial requirement for one (1) transmission test stand to support the M1 and one (1) transmission test to support the M1, M113, M109, MLRS, M60 and/or M88A1/A2 transmissions or any combinations of the vehicles. Information of its capabilities are also requ ested (does it test steering, shifting, forward and reverse, hydraulic pressure, temperature, electrical solenoids, etc.) This requirement includes the following: -Quantity of one (1) M1 transmission test stand and one (1) transmission test to supp ort the M1, M113, M109, MLRS, M60 and/or M88A1/A2 transmissions or any combinations of the vehicles -All tooling, materials, labor, supplies will be provided by contractor Contractors should assume that place of contractor performa nce will be in Egypt and required facilities will be provided by the country of Egypt. This letter is not intended as a solicitation of any proposal and submissions of an unsolicited proposal based on this announcement will not be given considerat ion.
