- Description
- The Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Installation Support Branch, Bolling AFB, DC in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to award a sole source contract to The Clarion Group, Inc. for three Unique Identification (UID) and eBusiness forums to be held in calendar year 2008. The Clarion Group, Inc. has been identified as the only source to meet the needs of the government in providing specialized training on Basic IUID Tutorial, Military Standard 129 (MILSTD 129), Military Standard 130 (MILSTD 130), Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF), Semantics and Syntax of Data, Unique Item Identifiers (UII), Marking Guidelines, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Virtual UII?s, Technology for IUID (hardware, software, marking, & tracking), Item UID Registry, Real Property Unique Identification (RPUID), Implementation Workshops, Materiel Visibility Instruction, Integrated Acquisition Environment (IAE), Past Performance Reporting (PPIRS/CPARS), Contract Reporting Information (FPDS-NG Input and Retrieval), Electronic Document Access (EDA), Common Supplier Engagement Business Enterprise Priority, Defense Sourcing Portfolio, and Future of IUID & eBusiness Strategies. These forums will provide practical guidance to help educate military program managers and DoD Contractors - particularly small to mid-sized contractors and all acquisition programs - achieve successful IUID and eBusiness systems implementation. The proposed contract action is for services, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1 and Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses to this notice must be received in writing to AFDW/A7KI, Attn: TSgt Chad S. Cornelius, 110 Luke Avenue, Suite 200, Bolling AFB, DC 20032 or received by electronic mail sent to chad.cornelius@afncr.af.mil no later than 1700 hours EST on 17 December 2007. Telephonic requests or inquiries will not be accepted. The determination not to compete this requirement is at the discretion of the Contracting Officer in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561920 Convention and Trade Show Organizers with a size standard of $6.5M.
