- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-07-RP-0021 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Pacemakers/ICDs/Leads. The VA intends to award up to two contracts per award group for the items listed below: Award Group One Bradycardia Therapy Device: Single Chamber with rate response feature, Dual Chamber with rate response feature, Active fixation with steroid eluting Brady leads, Passive fixation with steroid eluting Brady leads, and High Impedance Leads. AWARD GROUP TWO: Ventricular Trachyarrhythmia Therapy Device: Single chamber internal cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) with rate response feature, Dual chamber ICD with rate response feature, Dual-coil integrated bipolar steroid eluting passive-or active- fixation leads and dual -coil true bipolar, steroid eluting passive-or active fixation leads. The contract period will be for one base year plus four one year option periods. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offerer and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract to include the option years. Solicitation number VA-797-07-RP-0021 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about September 13, 2007 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICs code for this procurement is 334510. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
