- Description
- The Social Security Administration has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference and award ceremony to be held in the Downtown/Country Club Plaza area in Kansas City, Missouri, July 21 through July 24, 2008. Sleeping rooms are not part of this acquisition, as attendees are responsible for making their own reservations. However, the facility must be able to provide 658 sleeping room nights throughout the conference. The facility shall be able to provide meeting room space to accommodate 375 people for evening reception/registration to be held July 21, 2008. Main meeting space (8,000 sq ft banquet style) to accommodate 375 people July 22 and July 23, 2008 for plenary sessions, six soundproof breakout rooms (each 1,000 sq ft) to accommodate 65 people each. July 24, 2008 meeting space (5800 sq ft theatre style) for award ceremony to accommodate up to 675 people and audiovisual equipment for the entire conference and award ceremony to include: podium with microphone, wireless handheld & lapel microphones, LCD projectors, screens, electrical cords, flipcharts/pads/markers, carts, mixer with cords, DVD/CD player, Pipe and Drape, VHR player, tripod easels. The facility must provide full catering services for one evening reception, morning and afternoon breaks and two mandatory lunches. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration prior to award. Information on registering in the Central Contractor Registry can be found at http://www.ccr.gov. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR part 12 acquisition of commercial items. This is a non set-aside. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) is 721110. The solicitation # SSA-RFQ-08-1204 will be available for downloading on or about February 1, 2008.
