- This notice replaces the previous notice, in its entirety. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Panama City, Florida intends to solicit competitive proposals for the fabrication, assembly and testing of the following Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) AN/WLD-1 Remote Minehunting System (RMS) handling and support equipment: One (1) each Cradle Assembly, P/N: 8196896, One (1) each Maintenance and Variable Depth Sonar (VDS) handling and turnaround equipment (VHTE) Installation, P/N: 8196973 and One (1) each Maintenance Support Equipment (MSE), P/N: 8196888. This is a build to print requirement in accordance with Government furnished drawing package. These drawings are restricted and can only be made available to DoD contractors upon request to the Contracting Office. NOTE: All dates reflected herein are estimated. Refer to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for firm dates. Drawings must be requested from the buyer (Mr. Brian Young) by e-mail (brian .w.young@navy.mil) not later than 1 February 2008. Drawing requests must include the requesting firms name, address, phone number and Cage Code number to receive a compact disc copy of the controlled drawings and specification. The required delivery date for the production items (Cradle Assembly, VDS VHTE and MSE) will be 180-calendar days after issuance of the contract. The contract will contain an option for the purchase of two (2) each Cradle Assembly, P/N: 8196896. A Pre-Bid conference is scheduled for 0900 on 13 February 2008 at the NSWC PCD, Panama City, FL Building 110, Auditorium after release of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Pre-Bid conference will include the opportunity to inspect a set of the hardware that has been previously built. After release of the solicitation and before the Pre-Bid conference, all questions concerning the RFP shall be e-mailed to brian.w.young@navy.mil not later than (NLT) 8 February 2008. The Government will not respond to quest ions at the bidder?s conference but will, if necessary, respond in an amendment to the RFP. All conference attendees shall submit their visit request by emailing the company?s name address and phone number, all attendee?s names, attendee?s security clearance, and Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) code NLT 11 February 2008 to brian.w.young@navy.mil. This procurement is full and open. Delivery will be to the NSWC PC, 110 Vernon Ave., Panama Ci ty, FL 32407-7001. NSWC PCD plans on releasing the RFP electronically only. The formal RFP is anticipated to be release on or about 28 January 2008.
