- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane has a requirement for repairs, upgrades, modifications, spares manufacturing, and engineering services for Goodrich Corporation AC Generators and Generator Control Units. Part numbers for this requirement include, but shall not be limited to the following: 31130-011, 31130-012, 31130-XXX, 51130-010, and 51130-XXX. This effort is anticipated to result in a 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement with a ceiling of $2,870,791. Other than full and open competition procedures will be utilized with Goodrich Corporation, 8380 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH, in accordance with statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. All test benches, drawings, software, and test procedures are proprietary of Goodrich Corporation and are not available from the Government to be provided for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will be available on or about 14 February 2008 at the following address: FedBizOps http://www.fbo.gov, and the Crane webpage at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed. Offer must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation. It is the responsibility of the offeror to download the RFP and to submit offers to the POC at NSWC Crane.
